Liam Payne’s One Direction Throwback Has Fans Totally Shook

Liam Payne keeps on wowing us on social media. Whether it's a hilarious comeback, like the one regarding rumors about his relationship with Cheryl Cole, or sharing pics with the Queen, it sure shows he knows how to impress online. And he's done it once again, this time with a precious #TBT photo on his Twitter account of himself and his One Direction bandmates from back in the day.

As Liam prepares for his journey to Japan in a few days time for a trip, it seems like he was feeling quite sentimental about what lays ahead and the memories that Japan held for him. How do we know this? Well, Liam decided to pull at all our 1D heartstrings and post a throwback photo and himself and the boys when they made an appearance in Japan during 2013 to promote their film .This Is Us. "This time next week I'll be on my way to Japan! I've got some amazing memories from Japan, can't wait to be back #TBT," Liam captioned the photo of all the boys giving huge smiles. Who would've thunk that in just a couple of years they'd all have gone their separate ways?Liam's photo left his fans feeling some type of way because the comments were plentiful. "I'm crying right now," one fan wrote below the photo, with another fan chiming in a little further down in the thread: "WE MISS ONE DIRECTION," adding a crying emoji and lots of heart to make it clear just how real the feels were.

This #TBT is a rare one from any of the former One Direction members, which might explain why fans are reacting so strongly to Liam's photo. Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Harry Styles have all launched their own solo careers. Yes, many of the guys have reconciled after various tiffs, but a quick look at their social media accounts shows that they don't often share pics of their days back with the boys.

All this is to say that we rarely get a glimpse of the boys looking back at the 1D days. Considering the reaction Liam's very sentimental #TBT has gotten, maybe it could nudge the other guys to do the same and keep the memory alive. We can hope, can't we?
